Wow. I was in the bar Space Cowboy a couple of months ago, I think during the game Real Madrid - Arsenal. I saw you there and I thought I recognized you from somewhere, but it didn't click. I used to watch you years ago, now I watched a random video and it clicked. What a coincidence.
It's so nice. I can almost feel your excitement! :) And I totally understand, I've done it many times myself and will be off to new beginnings again in a few weeks. Have a good start in beautiful Barcelona
Matt, it feels so crazy to be writing to you, I think I’ve always had this parasocial relationship with you because we are very similar!
I’ve been living in Barcelona for 3 years now and it’s crazy but I’m moving to Paris for 6 months. Right now I’m in Mexico (my hometown) and I only have 1 day in Barcelona before moving to Paris (January 17)
So if you wanna hang out I can show you some places, or grab a beer and talk.
Wow Matt, you just described exactely what happened to me, 3 times already 😅
Italy → Germany → Poland → Spain, Barcelona to be precise!
Once you're an expat you know how scary, challenging, dark can be, but at the same time the excitement, the adrenaline, the hunger of getting to know new places, new people keeps your head above water.
It's going to be insane, Barcelona can be a lot and I, as a fan since the project 30, would be beyond honoured to show you around and provide you with a “friendly” face from your newsletter, book and from your former passion for blogging.
Let me know if you’d like to meet! I'd love that 🤗 good luck for tomorrow and the first few days 💚
I did it! I moved from London to Rome 7 years ago. Now I’m feeling the move to change again and this time I’m more nervous! I’m not sure why. But Barcelona is one of my favourite places so my plan is definitely to visit again soon

Maybe you can give me some advice for Paris!
Best!
Espero España te trate bien Matt 🤍🫂
